One of Europe's largest Japanese culture and encounter festivals is returning to Düsseldorf in 2025 and the specific date has been set. The 22nd Japan-Tag Düsseldorf/NRW will take place on May 24, 2025.

First information about Japan-Tag Düsseldorf/NRW 2025

The cultural festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from Germany and abroad every year and promises a diverse program with numerous highlights in the coming year as well. The successful relocation of the event area to the Landtagswiese proved successful this year and will be continued in 2025. The sports stage will once again be located there, where traditional Japanese sports and demonstrations will be shown. The popular manga drawing competition will also take place in the Central Library in KAP1 again. There are also plans to further expand the supporting program in the city around Japan-Tag. To crown the festival in 2025, a spectacular Japanese fireworks display will once again light up the sky over Düsseldorf and provide unforgettable moments.

Wirtschaftstag Japan 2025

The Wirtschaftstag Japan will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025 in Düsseldorf as the business program of Japan-Tag and the largest German-Japanese business conference. The event will be held in close cooperation with the organizations of the German-Japanese Business Network in NRW and will address current business and technology topics with specialist presentations and field reports from Japanese and North Rhine-Westphalian companies.  The event is organized by NRW.Global Business, the foreign trade promotion agency of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Review of the 21st Japan-Tag Düsseldorf/NRW 2024

Japan-Tag Düsseldorf/NRW 2024 transformed Düsseldorf's city center into a lively celebration of Japanese culture for the 21st time. Around 630,000 visitors enjoyed the varied program of dance performances, music groups, traditional martial arts and various cultural offerings. The highlight artist Higuchi Ai and the traditional Japanese fireworks impressively rounded off the 21st Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW and provided unforgettable moments.
